Information we collect when you visit our website
We collect and use information from website visitors in accordance with this section and the section entitled Disclosure and additional uses of your information.
Web server log information
We use third party servers to host our website through AMERCIANEAGLE.COM HOSTING, the privacy policy of which is available here: https://www.americaneagle.com/legal/privacy. Our website server automatically logs the IP address you use to access our website as well as other information about your visit such as the pages accessed, information requested, the date and time of the request, the source of your access to our website (e.g. the website or URL (link) which referred you to our website), and your browser version and operating system. Our servers and our backup disaster recovery facility are located in multiple locations throughout the USA and, accordingly, your information is transferred outside the EEA. Use of website server log information for IT security purposes
Our third party hosting provider collects and stores server logs to ensure network and information technology security and so that the server and website remain uncompromised. This includes analysing log files to help identify and prevent unauthorised access to our network, the distribution of malicious code, denial of services attacks and other cyber attacks by detecting unusual or suspicious activity.
Unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, we do not make, nor do we allow our hosting provider to make any attempt to identify you from the information collected via server logs.

Engaging with the Chat option
When you click on the Chat option on our website, we collect the information you provide to us including your name, email address, phone number, postal code, and information about your sign and graphic project. A transcript of the chat conversation is sent by email to the FASTSIGNS location you have selected and/or that is nearest to you based on your location. An employee from that location will follow up on your request by phone and/or email.

Profiling is any form of automated processing of your information to evaluate personal aspects about you, in particular to analyse or predict things like performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.

Our web analytics service, Google Analytics, uses and collects information such as your location based on your IP address and your behaviour based on cookies when you access our website, this includes pages you visit and what you click on and time on site, number of pages visited, frequency of visits and search terms used when finding our site. Logic involved: by automatically analysing and categorising information such as the location (based on IP address) as well as the behaviour and devices of visitors to our website (using cookies), we are able to gain a better understanding of what our website visitors want (in terms of the content of our website and our products), how to improve our website and how to advertise and market our services to them.

Use of profiling in marketing emails: We do not use web beacons, however we use other technologies provided by our third party vendor, ExactTarget (part of Salesforce Cloud) for tracking our marketing emails, to analyse our emails and what actions are taken (for example, email opens, clicks, undeliverable messages, and other online activities as a result of the email marketing newsletter. We will only process information if you have consented to receive our newsletter (or soft opted in before 25th May 2018) and are not opted out of our email newsletter program in accordance with our cookies policy at https://www.fastsigns.com.mt/cookie-policy.
Logic involved: by analysing how our email recipients respond to our emails, we are able to improve the content and effectiveness of our emails and gauge who is most interested.
Significance and envisaged consequences: your behaviour when you open our emails will be tracked using ExactTarget (part of Salesforce cloud tracking technologies). This tracking includes open rates, click through rates, opt out rates, bounce rates and web pages you’ve visited. How to object: An opt out option is included in each of our email newsletters.

FASTSIGNS operates in in the USA and uses technical infrastructure in the USA to deliver the services to you. In accordance with the contract between us, we need to transfer your information to the USA as necessary to provide the services. Simply put, we can’t provide you with the services and perform our contract with you without moving your information outside of the EEA.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and after it is received. Sensitive Personal Information
